Bill Beatty, the founder of Rebeat Consulting, has been deeply involved in the music industry for the better part of four decades. Energized by his early promotional work for The Beatles and Apple Records, Bill furthered his career with a simple philosophy: never stop growing technically or creatively. Bill’s work ethic didn’t go unnoticed; he was soon named one of the top 100 most influential people in the music business by Rolling Stone magazine.

Producing and marketing artists’ tours and events became a specialty. Bill’s next big step came as a production and touring consultant, advising clients including Cat Stevens, Carol King, James Taylor and CBS Records. CBS knew a good thing when they saw it and hired Bill as Director of Production where he oversaw countless projects including the production of Mariah Carey’s nationwide events. CBS Records was about to become Sony Music and Bill’s knowledge of music studios would be a key resource in the transformation.

Bill’s early studio expertise includes the design of the first full service soundstage for music and video in New York City. As the new Director of Special Projects for Sony Music, Bill played an integral role in the design, development and staffing of Sony Music Studios. His hands-on production work includes over 100 live music videos and clips.

In his new role at Sony, Bill continued to grow and innovate in the field of promotions. He designed corporate meetings, conventions and promotional tours, including the first Celine Dion showcase tour of the United States. Promoted to Vice-President in 1994, Bill became responsible for marketing presentations and special events across all of Sony Music’s labels.

By 1999, Bill had been promoted to Senior Vice-President of Productions where he participated in strategic marketing plans across all of Sony’s labels. Bill went on to create and produce tours and showcase events for Jessica Simpson, Jennifer Lopez, Destiny’s Child, Marc Anthony, Maxwell, Pearl Jam, Sade, Hall & Oates, Donna Summer, Aerosmith, Tenacious D, Michael Jackson and more. On the legal side, Bill helped develop a comprehensive risk management plan for all Sony sponsored major public events.

In 2004, Bill served as a consultant to the Glenrock Group, providing due diligence and advice on leading digital protection technologies/solutions digital media.

Now in the role of President of Rebeat Consulting, Bill Beatty continues to offer his creative, technical and promotional expertise to his music industry clientele. As a consultant to Sony-BMG, Bill oversees product rollouts and installations and is the Co-producer of the “Sony Open” PGA event in Hawaii. Bill is also a consultant to Revolver Marketing on event sponsorships and branding opportunities with partners Merrill Lynch and General Motors. He is also currently working with EMI Innovations, bringing branding and sponsorship opportunities to adult, prestige businesses (banking/investment companies).

Bill’s great charity work continues as a producer of T.J. Martell Foundation events supporting cancer and leukemia research.Bullet
